Experience

Conniption plays what is usually referred to as "old school" metal. Heavy on guitar riffs, driving bass lines, rock drums and actual singing... along with some mandatory screaming. Influences include: Black Sabbath, Testament, Children of Bodom, Metal Church, Led Zeppelin, Rage Against the Machine, Primus, Motley Crue, Megadeth, Pantera, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the list goes on. Distortion, clean, acoustic, harmonies... you can't wait to find out what will happen next! Conniption plays originals and will sometimes throw a few covers somewhere in the set. Conniption is a throwback to when metal music ruled the airways.

"...One thing I just cant help but comment on, Brigham has to be a bastard child of Dave Mustaine. Either that or he is channeling him on stage. From how his hair looks to how he interacts with the crowd to even how he plays, I swear he is a Dave less the anger. Not that it's a bad thing, but just something that struck me. All songs performed were originals and pretty darn decent. Heavy, however Brigham actually sings. It's a lovely thing to see..."

"Conniption had a hard act to follow (at the battle of the bands) but they are one of the best hard-rock bands I’ve heard in a while and Vnuk’s was really into their entire set... Tight band all the way around. They have a great big Metallica sound. Good transition, good interaction with the crowd, confident on stage and good dynamics really raised the atmosphere... Check them out in the quarterfinals for sure."
